Super Humans!

Super heroes?  Mermaids, Ice Man, Brain Man and other humans with super human powers!  I’m multitasking, currently watching an episode of 20/20 and was very intrigued by brain man because it comes back to my entry How Do You Recall Memory?  Brain Man sees numbers as 3d shapes and can memorize thousands of numbers in one glance.  I don’t have any super human memory, but recall data by visualizing the setting when I was in looking at it and wonder how everyone else does. More on my previous entry linked above, and video linked above.  The video’s air date is 06/01/2010, which I think expires in a few days.  If that’s the case, you can probably search an article online about it.

Selfish or SelfLess Deeds?

 I’m used to people doing favors with expectations of getting something in return, even if I didn’t ask for help. It’s nice to give back, but it does get tiring “owing” people, especially when we owe so much in life already (financially, loans, debt). I start to question humans’ genuineness, whenever a person, especially someone I barely know, wants to be generous to me. But after a particular awkward situation, a spark of hope occurred, which dawned on me that I should learn be less SUSPICIOUS of others who truly don’t want anything back.

Facebook Dilema

These South Park clips that portrays the pitfalls of what can happen when you have a Facebook, are very hilarious because there’s A LOT of truth to it.  The whole episode is brilliant. Maybe not so funny that it happens to us in real life, but funny how much South Park pinpointed many different situations. Facebookers do get angry like that, strangers do wonder why someone doesn’t accept their friend request, misinterpretations and finding ourselves “in trouble” when someone is dissatisfied with our activities posted on the news feed. I sure have a fair share of Facebook awkward moments and I’m sure there are many more to come. So is it really worth it?

How Do You Recall Memory?

I’m not sure how memory it is for you and I’m curious to know (please do post a comment!). Whether it is an image or text, usually the only way I can remember things is by visualizing it, “seeing” it in my mind. I certainly don’t have photographic memory though, and it is difficult for me to memorize a large list of things. The only way I remember stories in a book without pictures, is if I use my imagination while reading it, visualizing what the setting and characters would look like. On top of that, I sometimes have to remember where I read the book, and the setting around me when I read. It sounds a little strange and different, but that’s how my memory works.
